How it started
It all started with a text message in July 2016 and quickly turned into 556 boxes (28,000 lbs) of paper and an entire community coming together in support of our teachers. Cassidy and Christy created the #DurantPaperChallengewith hopes that they could help relieve a small financial burden on Durant teachers for the upcoming school year. Neither one would have ever imagined the magnitude of the event or the love that local businesses, alums, and parents showed. The 556 boxes of paper donated would last the DISD one semester.
